What's the difference between TicNote AI Voice Recorder and TicNote Lite AI Voice Recorder?

Two main differences. First, the lever: the standard version has a lever that lets you switch between Earphone Mode (clips to your phone for call recording) and Speaker Mode (sits on the table for room recording). Lite has no lever — one recording mode, press and go. Second, storage: the standard version has 64GB on-device (around 434 hours). Lite has 4GB (around 27 hours) — designed to sync to cloud regularly.

What does the lever actually do?

It switches which microphones are active. Flip up (Earphone Mode): bone-conduction mic + one directional mic — optimized for picking up phone call audio through your phone's chassis. Flip down (Speaker Mode): two omni mics — optimized for capturing a room or conversation at a distance.

Does it work without my phone nearby?

For recording, yes — TicNote AI Voice Recorder records locally and doesn't need your phone nearby. However, syncing and AI processing (transcription, summary) require you to open the app on your phone. If you need fully independent recording and upload without any phone, consider TicNote Pods 4G.

How long can I record in one session?

Up to 5 hours per session. Total on-device capacity is around 434 hours (64GB storage).

Is the data stored locally or in the cloud?

Recordings are stored on-device first (64GB built-in). They sync to TicNote app when you open the app over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. You control what stays and what gets deleted.
