Question 1

Can teachers use TicNote too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Teachers use TicNote to record their own lectures and instantly get structured class summaries, mind maps, and knowledge points they can share with students. It also captures parent meetings and staff discussions, so preparing lesson recaps and reports takes minutes instead of evenings. Students get better review material, and teachers get their evenings back.

Question 2

Can I customize the summary templates in TicNote?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can easily create your own custom templates. We provide tutorials to help you set them up quickly. Additionally, TicNote comes with over 100 default templates tailored for various industries right out of the box, including templates for lecture notes and study summaries.

Question 3

How long can TicNote record continuously?

Accepted Answer

It supports up to 5 hours of continuous recording per session, though the exact duration may vary depending on the specific TicNote device model you choose. That's enough for back-to-back lectures without a recharge.

Question 4

How much audio can TicNote store?

Accepted Answer

A single device can store up to thousands of hours of audio, depending on the specific TicNote model. You don't have to worry about running out of storage—once your recordings are synced to the app, you can delete them from the device to free up space for more recordings. A full semester fits easily.

Question 5

Can I take photos and make notes during a lecture?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can use your phone to take photos of slides and whiteboards, highlight moments, and jot down notes while recording. All your manual records will be perfectly synced and integrated into the final transcript results.

Question 6

Is there a trial available?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Once you purchase the hardware, you automatically get access to the Plus plan to try out the features for free. If you need more advanced capabilities later, you can always upgrade to our Pro or Business plans.

Question 7

Can TicNote pick up the professor in a large lecture hall?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In speaker mode, the 3-mic array captures voices from up to 10 meters away, so even in a big hall you get a clear recording of the lecture — and every question asked in the room.

Question 8

I'm studying in a second language. Can TicNote help?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TicNote transcribes in 120+ languages, so you can record lectures delivered in a language you're still learning and review the transcript at your own pace. You can also translate the summary into your native language for easier revision.
