What does the built-in 4G actually do — can I make calls with it?

No — the 4G module is not for calls, texts, or general internet. It's a dedicated upload channel that sends recordings to the cloud automatically, enabling real-time transcription and instant summary push. Think of it as a private data pipe for your recordings.

Does the 4G version work outside its region?

The 4G function is region-locked. It supports China Mainland, ANZ, and some regions in Europe and North America.

Can the earbuds record on their own without the case?

No. The earbuds store audio in the case — they need to stay within 3 meters of the case during recording. Always bring the case.

What's the difference between Pods 4G and Pods Wi-Fi?

Three 4G-exclusive features: (1) independent recording without a phone nearby, (2) real-time summary during recording, (3) instant summary push when recording ends. Wi-Fi version has full recording and AI summary — just after sync, not live. However, the 4G feature has region lock, but you can still record voice all around the world without using the 4G feature.

Can I pause a recording?

Not currently. Recording is start or stop. If you need to pause, stop the current recording and start a new one — they'll be saved as separate files.

How do I switch between case mode and earbud mode?

Automatically. If the lid is closed when you start recording, the case mics are used. If the lid is open and earbuds are in, earbud mics are used. You don't need to switch manually.
