Question 1

Can I customize the summary templates in TicNote?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can easily create your own custom templates. We provide tutorials to help you set them up quickly. Additionally, TicNote comes with over 100 default templates tailored for various industries right out of the box, including templates for site reports and inspection notes.

Question 2

How long can TicNote record continuously?

Accepted Answer

It supports up to 5 hours of continuous recording per session, though the exact duration may vary depending on the specific TicNote device model you choose. That covers a full day on site without a recharge.

Question 3

How much audio can TicNote store?

Accepted Answer

A single device can store up to thousands of hours of audio, depending on the specific TicNote model. You don't have to worry about running out of storage—once your recordings are synced to the app, you can delete them from the device to free up space for more recordings.

Question 4

Can I take photos and make notes on site?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can use your phone to take photos of defects, equipment, or site conditions, highlight moments, and jot down notes while recording. All your manual records will be perfectly synced and integrated into the final transcript results.

Question 5

Is there a trial available?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Once you purchase the hardware, you automatically get access to the Plus plan to try out the features for free. If you need more advanced capabilities later, you can always upgrade to our Pro or Business plans.

Question 6

Does TicNote work in noisy site environments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The multi-mic array is designed to isolate voices from background noise, so recordings made on an active site — machinery, wind, traffic — still come out clear enough for accurate transcription.

Question 7

What if there's no signal on site?

Accepted Answer

No problem. All TicNote devices record on-device with no connection needed, and everything syncs to the app once you're back in coverage. Recordings and transcripts are safe on the device until then. Note that Pods 4G's live summary feature requires network coverage — without it, the device still records and stores everything locally, and summaries are generated once you're back in range.
