Two main differences. First, mode switching: the standard version has a lever to manually switch between Call Mode and Speaker Mode. Lite has no lever — one mode, two scenarios handled automatically. Second, storage: the standard version has 64GB on-device (around 434 hours). Lite has 4GB (around 27 hours) — sync to cloud regularly to free up space.
Does TicNote Lite support call recording?
Yes. Lite uses a built-in vibration sensor (bone-conduction mic) that captures both sides of a phone call when attached to the back of your phone magnetically. No mode switching needed — it works automatically in the same single mode used for meetings and lectures.
How long can I record in one session?
Up to 5 hours per session. Total on-device capacity is around 27 hours (4GB). Sync regularly to keep space available.
What do I do when the on-device storage is full?
After a recording ends, if the device is connected to your phone, recordings sync automatically to the app via Bluetooth. Once you've confirmed the sync is complete, you can delete the files from the device to free up storage.
Does it work without my phone nearby?
For recording, yes — TicNote Lite records locally and doesn't need your phone nearby. However, syncing and AI processing (transcription, summary) require you to open the app on your phone. If you need fully independent recording and upload without any phone, consider TicNote Pods 4G.
